Obama assumed the charge of presidency on January 20, 2009 when the United States of America was facing the most pathetic economic conditions of her history. The situation was economically deplorable with the federal deficit of 9.91 % of GDP against 3.18 % of last year’s along with the deteriorating international relations. Moreover, the skyrocketing increase in the national debt by $1.9 trillion was worsening the situation.

In spite of poor economic statistics of the state, the Bush government ostensibly pushed the state in the pit of unending terrorism war against unknown enemies. This war has swallowed trillion dollars along with many precious human lives of the state up till now. This loss is either in the shape of lavish military expenditure or in a form of the monetary aid to the allied countries worldwide.

Though the damaging consequences of the Bush policies started appearing in his regime, but they reached to the apex during obama’s presidency. So, it would be pertinent to say that Obama inherited joblessness from the Bush government. At this fragile moment Obama would have taken some rational and bold steps to revise the economic and international relationing policies of the previous government.

However, he did not take any brave step in his almost two years of the presidency. Obama’s statement that the economy is stronger than before is not less than a proclamation of the person living in a fool’s paradise. This is because the rise in stock market and corporate profits against 9 % unemployment level and 10.6 % federal deficit of total GDP is not more than trivial advancements.

The very first step that the world was expecting from him being the president of the sole world power was the immediate cessation of wars on the countries like Iraq and Afghanistan. The US should call her army back from above mentioned countries because she has totally deprived of the support from the indigenous people.

I would wrap up my opinion at a point that increasing the competitiveness of the US by investing more in the sectors of education, technology, and the internet is not sufficient enough. Instead the president needs to realize the damaging effects of the military combats in varying countries of the world.

What Kind of Nation Are Pakistani's?

Why don't we learn from the history? The real question is; "Do we want to learn or not?" People of the Pakistan demanded an independent country sixty three years back; when they felt that they will be exploited by the Hindu majority after the departure of the British government from the land of the Indo-Pakistan. Nations demand independence for the following differences: religious, cultural demographical and visionary, etc; for examples, Koreans were divided on governing issues after the departure of US and Soviet Unions; which gives birth to segregation of Korea after being united for more than a millennium.

That is how Korea was divided into two wings i.e. north and south; because of the differences created after Second World War. Similarly, when we study the history of the Pakistan; we get to know that she was created on the basis of religion. But today we find everything in the Pakistan: except the religion; for which millions of Muslim sacrificed their lives.

Morally we are standing at the top of the corruption. From peon to President, we have the most crooked people working on highly respectable and sensitive posts. Although our history is full of fraudulent politician and army officers; but few names are sparkling like the stars on the horizon; and, the name of General Yahya Khan will always be taken as the first leader of such kind. Anthony Hyman writes in his book "Pakistan, Zia and after..." that: "The second Pakistani commander-in-chief general Yahya khan was a heavy drinker who before taking over from Ayub khan was a regular visitor to the Pindi club, the most famous club for the British officers of the northern command under the Raj" (Anthony Hyman el at: 1989).

The height of numbness of the Pakistani people is that they do not bother; who they are going to give the sacred duty of government; the people like Asif Ali Zardari and Musharaf who are not only away from Islam; but also accused of thousands of corruption charges. Asif ali zardari is not only accused of corruption charges; but also of murder as Khondakar Golam Mowla writes in his book "The Judgment Against Imperialism, Fascism and Racism Against Caliphate and Islam" that: "In September, Ms Bhutto's only surviving brother, murtaza Bhutto, was assassinated, and Ms. Bhutto's mother accused Ms. Bhutto and Mr. Zardari of masterminding the murder, because the brother had been leading opposition to Ms. Bhutto." (Mowla. K.G:2008).

Being a Muslim state, we are responsible to give governmental authority to the people abiding by Islamic laws; but what we are doing is exactly opposite to it. Our every new President comes up with the label of more in chaste character; which reveals that we are religiously, socially, politically, ethically, and economically perverted nation.

Concluding the discussion I would like to end this paper on a note that the Pakistan is repeating the history by waging open war against the God ( by conducting all her affairs against the orders of the God like: interest based economy, etc.). We are going against the God because we prayed the God to bestow us a land; where we can live according to the way he has given us through the last Prophet. As a nation we should revise our living style; as soon as possible, before it gets too late. We should not forget that: "Pharaoh's apology wasn't accepted by the God at the last moment."
