Twilight an old wine in new bottle

The concept of Dracula or vampire is as old as the existence of the mankind. The human being has not always been attracted but also haunted by the characters of the Dracula, vampire and demons, etc. A man is the mixture of mortality and immortality; his body is mortal whilst the spirit is immortal. And that is the point which originates the concept of vampire/Dracula. Basically, the concept of Dracula/vampire is hired to indicate the devilish part of the human nature. The prime reason behind the creation of this character/concept is the prevalence of callousness in human societies where day starts with the news of killing, raping, kidnapping and torturing, etc. People are usurping the rights of other for their own satisfaction. After realizing the sensitivity of the situation writers and filmmakers, being the most responsive segment of the society started writing and filming this situation in their books and films respectively.

Moreover, the element of curiosity and superstition is another reason behind the creation of this concept. Bermuda triangle, a place in the western part of the North Atlantic Ocean is classified as a paranormal place where things like ships, aircraft and human, etc. disappear unusually. We have two main sources to verify the existence of the super-natural things that are religion and science. The religion is an ancient whilst the science is a new source by which we can know the reality of this creature.Empirical investigation of the natural world is known as science and believing in one God with the difference of small helping gods and goddesses is known as religion. The religion testifies the concept of genie only and not the vampire but science are still silent in this context.

Dracula, a novel written by Bram stoker in 1897 was not the first famous attempt of employing the character of the vampire to portray the devilish aspect of the human nature. Back in 1819 John Polidori also employed the character of Dracula as an aristocratic man in his "The Vampyre". Similarly, cinemas are decorated with the vampire movies after every single day and "Twilight saga New Moon" is the recent attempt in this regard. Basically, it is a novel revealing on one hand the bond of love between good-natured vampires (feed on animal blood rather than the human) and the human while, on the other hand, it shows resentment between the damned vampire (feeding on human blood) and the good one to save the mankind in shape of Bella (a character played by fine-looking actress Kristen Stewart).

Not very long ago a captivating effort was made on the same topic in the form of movie "Queen of the damned", released in 2002 in which Stuart Townsend (a handsome actor), a good natured vampire (as a Lestat) was first shown to awake the sleeping arrogant queen of the vampires' Akasha (character marvelously played by Aaliyah) by his enthralling music and then killed her with other ancient good-natured vampires to save the world from the demise. In a nutshell, the common line between the two movies mentioned above is the protection of the mankind from satanic intricate attempts but with different covers.
